The Camon 19 Pro displays Full HD+ content on a 6.8″ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera has a single hole, while the back of the phone has a diamond coating, which mimics 200 million crystals. A double ring surrounds the main camera combination, but there are actually three cameras.
One of the most impressive features of this smartphone is its camera. This is the first DSLR camera with the ISOCELL GWB sensor, a 64 MP sensor with a red-green-blue-white color filter. The white is added so the camera can get up to 30% more light for better night photography.
A 50 MP camera with 2x optical zoom is also included in the trio. With a 50mm equivalent focal length, the company suggests using Portrait Mode, which blurs the background artificially.
Pre-orders can be placed for KES24,499, which is about $210, and come with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Those who are early adopters will get a backpack and wireless headphones as free gifts.
An Helio G96 chipset powers the Camon 19 Pro, the same one that powered the predecessor Camon 18 Premier. Mediatek released the Helio G99, which supposedly lowers device temperatures. However, this is not happening with the Camon 19 series, at least not yet. 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Also in the series are the Camon 19 and Camon 19 Neo, both with the Helio G85 chipset and downgraded cameras. We couldn’t find any information about these devices, but we expect them to hit shelves soon, and we can learn more about their availability then.
