Samsung will release a beta version of One UI Watch for the Galaxy Watch 4, the company announced on its forum. Normally, Samsung releases One UI betas for its phones and tablets, but this is the first time it will be available for the company’s flagship smartwatch.
Since the Galaxy Watch 4 was launched last August, Samsung has provided a lot of updated features. New watch faces have been added to the smartwatch, and Google Assistant support was added this week. While we don’t know what the upcoming One UI Watch beta will bring, we wouldn’t be surprised if there were a few surprises.
It is critical to consider some limitations, however. If users leave the beta program before the end of the beta period, they cannot return to the stable version of One UI Watch. The manufacturer will have to release the stable version of the software first.
Users cannot leave the beta and rejoin it later. Beginning June 2, Samsung said it would begin rolling out the One UI Watch beta for Galaxy Watch 4. Initially, the update will only be available in South Korea. Android Police notes that it could expand to the US, China, Europe, and other regions.
Additionally, the update will only be available for the original Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic models. Samsung’s top smartwatches are currently unsure what features the upcoming beta will bring. We hope to get more information about it when the beta version is released next week.
One UI Watch beta versions are available to eligible Samsung Members through the Samsung Members app. You should find a banner in the app notifying you of its availability if the beta program is offered in your area. Clicking on the banner will allow users to sign up for the beta. This makes you eligible to download the One UI Watch beta on your Galaxy Watch 4 when it becomes available.
