Samsung has released the Android 12 update for Galaxy A21s after releasing the Android 12 update for Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A03. Currently, the update is available in Russia and could be rolled out to more countries soon.

A217FXXU8DVF6 is the firmware version for the Android 12 update for Galaxy A21s. More than 60 privacy and security vulnerabilities are also fixed in the June 2022 security patch. A new UI design with the Color Palette feature, a better dark mode, enhanced widgets, better widget layouts, and thicker sliders for brightness and volume are included in the update.

All Samsung stock apps have been improved, including Calendar, My Files, Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard. Emojis can now be used in entries in the Calendar app, and deleted entries can be restored. Improved album sorting and stories are now available in Gallery app access

It’s possible to refer back to the edits you made with the built-in image editor, which keeps the editing history. Additionally, it allows you to remaster blurry or old photos. When sharing images, you can also remove sensitive information, such as date, time, and location. Grammarly-based language suggestions are available on Samsung Keyboard, while a redesigned search widget and enhanced anti-tracking measures are available on Samsung Internet.

A new look has been added to the Device Care section. As well as improving the search experience throughout the system, Samsung has also improved the overall user experience. Through privacy flags and quick settings switches, the camera and microphone can be enabled or disabled system-wide to enhance privacy and security.

Additionally, Samsung has improved accessibility features, Picture-in-Picture, Edge Panels, and sharing options. The messaging screen now allows you to initiate calls directly. When you touch the shutter button, the Camera app begins recording videos immediately. Your finger would leave the shutter button before the video began to record.

The Android 12 update can be downloaded and installed by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install if you live in Russia. Manually updating the firmware is also possible from the database. Two major OS updates have been released since the phone was launched with Android 10. There is a possibility that you won’t receive Android 13.
