A month ago, it was reported that HMD Global was working on six upcoming Nokia-branded smartphones, and now the specifications of two of those devices have been leaked. The Nokia X21 5G is HMD Global’s most expensive mainstream smartphone Nokia Brand.
We will start with a look at the Nokia X21 5G, which will succeed the current-gen Nokia X20 5G and become HMD Global’s second most expensive midrange smartphone behind the rugged Nokia XR20. The updated device stands out from the previous model in design terms, as the old model was circular. This is because the bump has been replaced by a massive rectangular module found in the upper left corner of the back.
There is a 64-megapixel sensor in the main camera, but a 13-megapixel sensor has been added to the ultra-wide for better bokeh shots. The three cameras will be backed by ZEISS software and PureView technology from HMD Global, hence the ZEISS branding on the camera module just below the usual two-tone LED flash. Besides the 120Hz refresh rate tech, the phone has a 6.7-inch OLED display with a punch hole, a 5,000mAh battery, and Android 12 right out of the box.
For storage, there are two options: a base model equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, and a high-end model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. It is unlikely that a microSD card slot will be available. In terms of processors, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 5G is said to be the one to beat.
The Snapdragon 480 5G chipset that was used in the Nokia X20 would be significantly improved if it is true. The other leaked phone is a Nokia G-series handset. Currently, there is no official name for the device, but it could be the rumored Nokia G11 Plus. According to the leaks, it will offer 5G along with a 120 Hz Full-HD + screen and a 50-megapixel camera. It follows the design of the recently released Nokia G11.
