Huawei MatePad 11 is the first HarmonyOS device. The software HarmonyOS was self-developed by Huawei in response to the google ban. No doubt HarmonyOS works well and it is not so much different from the EMUI, which is running on Huawei mobile devices in the past. Mean to say if you think the HarmonyOS brings totally new software experience, then you would be disappointed. The Huawei MatePad series has two models, one is a larger Pro model with a 12. inch display and the second one is a smaller model with an 11-inch display. But the smaller model is best and its name is Huawei MatePad 11.
Display:
The Huawei MatePad 11 is best because it has a good screen size and a wide 1:10 aspect ratio, Which is suitable for consuming videos and gaming. But It’s not ideal for word processing or reading lengthy text. Huawei MatePad 11 has a better balance. Huawei MatePad 11 has an LCD panel instead of an OLED. Huawei MatePad 11 supports a 120Hz refresh rate. And the smaller size makes the MatePad lighter to carry. The screen of the Huawei MatePad 11 has accurate colors and excellent viewing angles. And the screen is certified safe for the eyes, which means that it has a low blue light which can be harmful to the eyes after prolonged use. There is no fingerprint scanner at all. The webcam is also not a 3D depth sensor. Here face recognition is not secure, you must have to use a PIN or password if you want real security.
Design:
There are thin bezels around the screen. The 8MP selfie camera is placed in the middle of the top bezels. So if a user looks straight ahead, they appear more natural in video calls. When flipping the tablet around there is a pill-shaped module housing a single 13MP camera. The webcam and main camera are solid. Their performance is fine for basic snapshots or videos. There are four speakers on the side.

Price:
The cost of a Huawei MatePad 11 is $380 in China and around $530 in Europe. Huawei shipped the Huawei MatePad 11 with its official keyboard cover case and stylus at that price. But in China, you need to purchase it separately. The Keyboard and M-Pencil: If you want to do any productivity work with the Huawei MatePad 11, then the keyboard is a must and M-Stylus is a nice bonus.
The keyboard cover case magnetically snaps onto the Huawei MatePad 11 and without needing setup, the keyboard starts work after connection. The M-Pencil looks like the Apple pencil. The M-Pencil has a seamless design with no buttons and is attached magnetically to the top of the tablet.
Harmony OS:
The new Harmony OS looks very similar to its previous EMUI from an aesthetic standpoint. There is the main difference in the home screen which now supports a free grid with widgets of varying sizes. HarmonyOS provide better connectivity across all the Huawei product. The reason behind the coming of HarmonyOS is that the US government banned Huawei from working with Google.
So Google Apps do not work in harmony. But all other American apps used such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Some popular apps like NetFlix and Spotify also work. All apps work well but not having access to Google apps is bothering someone. You can also get access to Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Docs through a web browser inside the Huawei MatePad 11. If you are a die heart fan of Huawei devices and you do not need easy access to Google’s various services, then the Huawei MatePad 11 is best for you at the price of $530. And you get a keyboard case and stylus pen as well which is not offered by Apple or Samsung at that price. Huawei MatePad 11 is easy to carry and hold for a long time.
