Some European markets, including Switzerland, have begun to receive the update. Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra are being updated with new firmware version number G98xxXXSEFVE6. For now, the Galaxy S20 FE isn’t available, but that should change soon.

Samsung Brand has been slow to roll out the June 2022 security update to its devices, but it’s now catching up and getting back to the pace we’re used to when it comes to software updates. Several pre-2022 mid-range phones have started receiving the June security update this week, and Samsung has now added the flagship Galaxy S20 series to the list.

Owners of the Galaxy S20 can download the new update wirelessly from the Settings » Software update menu on their phone. You can also download the latest firmware from our database to manually update your phone using a Windows PC.

Samsung is soon to update many of its phones and tablets to One UI 4.1.1 and eventually One UI 5.0, which will be accompanied by Android 13. Samsung will not support Android 14. Galaxy S20 phones are not covered by Samsung’s four-year OS update policy.
