Samsung Galaxy A42 5G Various security and privacy issues have been addressed in the new update with build number A426BXXU3DVE2. Earlier this year, the phone was updated with the latest Android 12 OS along with One UI 4.1.
Originally launched in 2020, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is still available. The device had a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750 5G chipset. There was also a quad-camera array on the phone, which included a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth sensor.
Recent software updates released by Samsung for its phones in different price ranges have been consistent. Despite not all its phones receiving major OS updates like Android 12, a sizable number have received monthly security updates and software patches.
