The next Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is one of the most awaited smartphones in 2020. It will be Samsung’s third commercial folding device, replacing last year’s original Galaxy Fold. This cell phone has been under surveillance since a radar leak for several months. Now, new information from Galaxy Fold 2 South Korea confirms that this phone has a larger screen than previous phones. The Galaxy Fold 2 will be equipped with a foldable 7.7 inch screen and a 6.23 inch cover screen .
According to ETNews, the exterior (exterior) and interior foldable OLED panels of the Galaxy Fold 2 will be 1.63 inches and 0.4 inches larger than the original Galaxy Fold, respectively. This means that the new generation foldable smartphone from Samsung will have a 7.7 inch interior panel and 6.23 inch coverage.
According to previous reports, due to technical limitations, the Galaxy Fold 2 will not have an S Pen this year. However, the refresh rate of the internal display is 120 Hz, which is consistent with the Galaxy S20 series. Galaxy Fold 2 predecessor has a standard 60 Hz upgrade panel. Another advancement over its precursor is the use of UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) rather of Colorless Polymer (CPI). This type of screen protector is currently only available on the Galaxy Z Flip. While Samsung started ordering these components last month, the Galaxy Fold 2 is clearly already in production. Analysts said the company schedules to deliver 3 million units a year, but the first parts order is 300,000 units. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Fold 2 with the Galaxy Note 20 series on August 5.
